Staying at the Meriton and popped down for a meal. Awesome service and great prices. Staff were awesome. I got the Steak with salad and mash, my steak was beautifully cooked just as I ordered. The mash was sensation and the salad was fresh. Coming back to stay at Meriton in February and I will be back to try other items on menu.

I booked here for our final family dinner after a trip to the Goldcoast. I was embarrassed by my decision in the end. Staff were lovely, the owner was working hard and trying to be nice, but the food was awful. First bowl of chips was small for the price and undercooked. Spring rolls were still frozen in the middle, requested fresh ones, they sent back the three remaining on our plate having re-cooked them (almost burnt), sent them back, got four fresh ones, inside was mush. The food tasted deep fried and smothered in bottled sauce, we all left either hungry or feeling unwell.

Staff are amazing, great service, really attentive and drinks are well made and presnted. Food is shocking, the chef probably never heard of a sous vide as his reheated meat is like chewing a car tire, basic food prep/reheating techniques would elevate this place.

Drinks are great. Tried a Corona Sunrise for the first time, its off the menu but Ryan the bartender was nice to make one. I think he did a great job. You have to try their Sticky Date, it's with Baileys, very good. I completely recommend a night out at the Bar II. Bartenders are great, really pleasant and friendly.
