We had a great stay at this motel. The location is perfect, right in front of the sea, with a nice pool and free undercover parking. We originally came for around ten days because we weren’t sure how long we would stay due to the road closures, but we absolutely loved this place. Robin gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel comfortable right away. We even asked to change rooms to have a nicer view, and she happily arranged it for us without any problem. The Strand Motel was a very convenient place to stay. It is not the flashest motel in the world and is generally quite tired. However, it was clean and the staff very friendly. It is conveniently located quite close to the beach and the ferry terminal. The supermarket is within 5 minutes walk as well. They have a cafe at the bottom and the food is very good. They have a pool which is clean and actually very refreshing. It is not very big and there are chairs around with the pool as well as a shadecloth cover.
