One of the best French dining experiences we’ve had in Perth. The duck parfait was outstanding, especially with the charcoal toast, red wine prunes and pickled cucumber. The bluefin tuna was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Both the duck breast and beef fillet were cooked beautifully, showing excellent technique and attention to detail. We were actually so full from the bread, oysters and entrées that we struggled to finish dessert, but the chocolate cake was still too good to leave behind! Wonderful dinner at Balthazar - you must book to get a spot, even for 2 people. Staff were good, food was exceptional and extensive drinks menu. The atmosphere may not be to everyone's taste, dim lighting, quite loud with chatter and tables are in close proximity to each other. The main event though is the food, which I would highly recommend. The Broccolini was a stand out surprise as a side dish, with its grated parmesan topping and smoky flavour. First time visiting Balthazar, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. A special call-out to Daniela — her service was great, attentive, and really looked after our table. The oysters were fresh and very enjoyable. As it was the Easter long weekend, the menu was set, which we didn’t mind at all. The pork belly with crispy skin was beautifully executed — easily a 10/10. We celebrated my partner’s early birthday last night and really enjoyed the food and the vibe. The service was fantastic! Our favourites were the wagyu steak and the duck fat potatoes!! so good!! The duck I ordered was slightly undercooked, but overall it was still a great experience. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
