The food was tasty overall, but I was disappointed with the lime milkshake I ordered, as it had a strong artificial coloring flavor. The café is located in the Botanic Gardens, so the view is beautiful. However, during our visit, children were running around and making a lot of noise, which made it hard to fully enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, it wasn’t a very relaxing dining experience.

Severely unimpressed with our brunch at this cafe. We ordered three drinks, a breakfast meal and a serve of scones. Service was okay at best. All our drinks came out at different times, so lacking in flavour we couldn’t decipher who’s was who’s. Almost finished my mediocre, over-slated meal when my last scoop of scrambled eggs had reached my fork, I found a fly with its wings cooked into my eggs. Appalled, I took it to the counter. He told me that flys get around and it probably just went in there at some point…There should not be flies lurking in the kitchen to fall into customers food? Was o

Sweets cabinet is to do for, only managed to nab a counter cookie due to having breakfast, but will return next visit for some of those show/award winning cakes! Polite and prompt service and food quick to tables. Exceptional back drop to enjoy whilst dining. Point of mention, minimal smiles from any staff member to initiate a positive/rewarding interaction.

As always the location was good, service prompt and menu varied. Unfortunately a classic Australian ’toastie’ was served using the crust from the loaf, conveniently placed face down on delivery which resulted in the low food rating.
