I have read some of the reviews on here only after having been and I thought this place was pretty special. All around them are like fancy restaurants but this place feels like eating at your parents house that know how to make delicious food. They were also friendly and made great recommendations. I got the Christmas Sauerkraut stew which was one of the best things I have ever in all my years eaten. Then I had the apple cake which was so dang good. I want to bring my parents and everyone I know here. It was a true delight.

We found this place while wandering through the smaller backstreets away from the main tourist crowds. It has a really tucked-away feel with tables set out on a quiet cobblestone lane, which made for a great lunch spot. The menu had a good mix of things, and the food came out fresh and looking great. It was a very relaxed experience compared to the busier squares nearby, and I would definitely stop by again for the nice atmosphere alone.

Loved this place - I went twice during the week I was in Vienna. The proprietor is very friendly and made excellent recommendations. I had the beef soup and salad one night, and the raclette with veal sausage another time. Both were delicious. As was the meringue dessert! Very comfortable, a little out of the way, but close to St Stephens. Would definitely go back!
