Cozy Syrian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere, located in the city centre of Leuven (Bondgenotenlaan) specialized in authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. The food was delicious and beautifully served in generous portions. The home-made desserts were also very tasty! I definitely recommend the Mixed Platter: A generous and colorful selection of delicate starters with a variety of flavors. I am also a big fan of the hot Arabic dessert drink Sahlep (or sahlab):a sweetened, thickened milk flavored with rich vanilla and orange blossom water, topped with warm cinnamon & pistachios.

Came here in a Monday night. I would say solid food. Had the lamb which was served with salad, and pita bread. Their flavors were very complimentary. The lamb was cooked perfectly, the salad had the right balance of texture and freshness. The whole meal itself was not heavy at all it was just right. I would come back here.

Fatayer is an outstanding Syrian restaurant in Leuven. The food was truly authentic — rich flavours, fresh ingredients, and beautifully prepared dishes that reflect real Syrian culinary tradition. The service was impeccable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive (Miss. Gaane), making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. A wonderful place for anyone looking for authentic Syrian cuisine in Leuven. Highly recommended!

The food is just normal food nothing special, not amazing but not bad, but I feel like it's not worth it actually considering how much you paid for the food. The service is not very good, the staff was a bit cold and indifferent. Their voice was very low. The atmosphere is indeed quite special, such as the furnituring and decoration. However, it doesn't feel really warm and welcome. The way they treated me doesn't feel welcoming at all.
