I went in this restaurant on a Monday evening where most of the places were closed and this one stood out with their grilled menu and it didn’t disappoint. Service was courteous and fast, food was delicious (I got the mixed skewer) and at a reasonable price.

Last night, my partner and I decided to return to La Grillade, a restaurant where we had dined a few weeks earlier. I arrived a bit earlier to secure a table, but was told that the kitchen was already closed, so I left. My partner arrived shortly after and was told the same thing. When he asked about me, one of the staff members referred to me as “a black woman.” I found this comment completely inappropriate, as skin color has no relevance in that context. Moreover, I am not Black — I’m Spanish, with a skin tone that is darker than white, but not Black. This kind of unnecessary description sh
