We were recommended by a relative to try the food at this Hakka Passion location. We had a fantastic experience! This Hakka and Chinese restaurant in Harwood Plaza in Ajax is amazing. All the portions were very large, and the food was delicious. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere. The service was extremely fast and the servers were very polite, which made the experience even better. It is our favourite restaurant. Highly recommended for Hakka food lovers!

We dropped in for a quick bite on a lazy Tuesday afternoon. The interior is clean, modern and cozy. It is a low-key spot suitable for a quick lunch or a casual family dinner. As we were in a hurry, we ordered the following: 1. Combo E: General Tso Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and a generous side of Fried Rice. It’s a heavy-hitter for value. The Sweet and Sour Chicken offered a mild and glazed alternative that balances the spice of the rice. Very disappointing experience at Hakka Passion Ajax tonight, especially as a regular customer of both the Ajax and Simcoe Oshawa locations. We came in around 9 PM for dine-in, well before the 10 PM closing time, and ordered Tom Yum soup, chicken fried rice, and Schezwan chicken. The food quality was unacceptable. Both main dishes were around $15 each, yet the Schezwan chicken was mostly bell peppers, carrots, and onions with barely any chicken. Portions and quality were far below what this restaurant normally serves. What made the experience worse was the service. There was no one available

Great little Hakka joint I happened to come across while in town - probably the biggest portion size I’ve seen in 2026! Lunch special was the best value I’ve seen priced at $12 and change - gratuity was included but I would have jacked up the tip for how great the experience was. Definitely will stop in tomorrow for some take out since I’m in town for one more day!
