Visited It’s Okay on a Friday night around 11 PM. The name fits — my experience was okay overall. The place has a club-like vibe with a DJ playing a mix of 2000s and 2010s R&B, rap, EDM, and some oldies. The music was fun, though the genres jumped around a lot. Getting in was a challenge — I’m wheelchair-bound, and although Google lists the restaurant as accessible, the main entrance wasn’t. It’s Okay feels like a true neighbourhood watering hole and easily one of the best bars in East Vancouver. Super chill, no pretentious energy, and the kind of place you can actually sit and hang out for a while. The food was the best part.
