I came to birdog to have a fun lunch with my cousin since we were both craving Italian food. I did a bit of research to find an Italian restaurant opened for lunch in the. It’s and landed on birdog because the lobster ravioli sounded great and the bison carpaccio peaked my interest. It looked to be a Canadian spin on Italian classics which melted my heart. I’m impressed by the level of service Francisco who was wearing every hat that afternoon showed us. Had two romantic dinners here - one at lunch and one in the evening. The cocktails are fabulous - there’s something unique for everyone!! The cocktail names are very fun and film themed. The staff are super nice and helpful answering all questions about food and drink. The patio is nice but very little sun due to the tall buildings around. The oysters , scallops, and lobster ravioli were fantastic, good quality and filling. Highly recommend this restaurant for intimate get-togethers , and when you don’t want the usual menu.

On Canada Day, just before the fireworks, my friend and I decided to have dinner here. The restaurant wasn't too busy, which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. The bison carpaccio and the oysters were both delicious, but the bison steak was on a whole different level—hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had. A special thank you to our server/bartender. He was incredibly friendly, funny, and attentive, and he definitely made our evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place.
