We stopped here on a University tour with our daughter. The owner, Claudine, was super friendly and we had a great conversation. So much in common. The cafe was clean and the drinks were made to perfection - each individualized to our liking! We will visit again for sure if we are back on the East Coast! Ps the scones were very yummy!

How I have never come to Chit Chat Cafe in all the times I've been to Kingston until now is shameful. This place is such a gem!! Wonderful owners who really care about their customers and providing a great experience, not to mention reasonably priced menu options. Additionally, the location and setup are so cozy. I loved the seating area around the back, but the loft is the best. With books, games, and a basket full of yarn, I can see why this cafe is beloved. I wish they had a location in my city. A little gem of a cafe. Friendly chatty service from the owner lady behind the counter (sorry didn’t get her name). She even brought my soup upstairs for me. Went there a couple times for lunch during a short stay in Kingston. Had homemade ham, lentil, and pea soup with grilled cheese one day and a hearty bean chili with buttered toast another day. Both were filling, healthy, and delicious. Felt good vibes eating upstairs, seems popular with local university students. Very reasonable prices. Be aware no outside food or drinks allowed.
