For as far back as I can remember, this location has always been a coffee shop. Grew up in North Burnaby in the 90’s so it’s nice to see this place has stood the test of time. It’s obvious it’s switched owners a couple hundred times. Now it’s a modern cafe with good coffee and some sandwich deals. When I’m in the area I would rather support a small business than Starbucks.

Since living in the neighborhood this has become my go to coffee shop. It gives mom and pop vibes which I love vs your standard franchise chain cafes The espresso drinks won’t disappoint and the Belgian hot chocolate is really good. Food is worth a try, occasionally they also offer special menu items and homemade baked good which I love (the momo and homemade madeleines are incredible!)

Ambit Cafe is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in the area. The food is always fresh and really well made, and I’m hooked on their Frosty Mocha with dark chocolate. It’s one of those drinks you crave again the next day. The Chicken Cosmos is usually my go to sandwich. The veggies taste crisp and the provolone cheese melts just right, so it’s always a solid choice. I’m also a big fan of their smoked salmon sandwich.
