Busy, which is an good sign. But that leads to timing issues. My poutine was ready and waiting more than 5 minutes before my hot dogs. The staff was friendly, despite being busy. The poutine was really good, a bit too much cheese for my taste, but I'm probably in the minority. It was huge for the regular size. The hot dogs were good, standard Québec steamies. The cabbage was a bit sweet, which was unexpected, but really good. Overall, I'd definitely go back.

Alpha Hot-Dog has a mountain of reviews for a reason. Even with a weekday line out the door, the operation is efficient and moves fast. The Breakdown: The Poutine: Top-tier. They don't skimp on the cheese curds, and the gravy-to-fry ratio is spot on. The Sides: Both the fries and the onion rings hold their own—crispy, well-seasoned, and fresh. Found this spot on Reddit while researching where to stop for good poutine on my way down east and it was amazing! Poutine had a mountain of HUGE, squeaky curds and the smoked meat was piled high. All for a really good price. Staff was super friendly and helpful too! Will be stopping in for another poutine and to try an all dressed hot dog on our way back to Ontario for sure!

Delicious! I really enjoyed everything I ate. The burger was surprisingly very good as well as the hotdog. The poutine was tasty as well but not the best I've ever had, however it's solid and it's hard to beat the value.
