Mateo’s Gelato is a true Port Coquitlam gem. Our Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Ambassador team recently held our monthly meeting here, and the experience reinforced why this business has been a longtime community favourite. Lots of delicious flavours and not limited to only one scoop or two. It's priced by sizes and other than the mini, all the other sizes can be severed with 2 or more scoops! They also serve coffee here! We got a large with two scoops for two adults and it's plenty for sharing! Very cute space too and lots of seating. I can tell lots of people would enjoy it here in the summer!

I am not sure I should write this review but I'm finally think I should write it. We were in the shop on Sept 6 for the event of PoCo Car Free Day. We ordered one latte, one earl grey tea and a blueberry tart since we only wanted a drink and sat for a while. Then we would go back to the concerts. When we returned to the concert for about half hour, my husband felt bad and wanted to vomit. I believed this might caused by the spoiled milk of his latte. Lovely place to cool down with some yummy into the tummy. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with strong AC, but not too strong to feel cold while eating gelato. The small size is plenty, and you may get multiple favorites within. Very clean environment, as soon as client finishes with the seating, it gets clean shortly and u can barely notice any dust collected anywhere in the shop.
