Brief coffee stop mid-day on a Tuesday. Had their Iced Caramel Macchiato and an Iced Matcha Latte. At the counter, they ask about sugar preference (sweetened or unsweetened). I added oat milk to my latte for an extra charge of $1.25. Refreshing! The price is on par for most coffee shops or chains out there, but at $8.14 with the oat milk add for a 12 oz, it's not an everyday spend. I did think there was too much ice for my liking as it waters down the matcha with time, so if I return, I'd request less. This coffeeshop has the loveliest staff, many seating options, stellar pastries and food, and an impressive selection of beans from across Canada*. Also, it’s ideally located under the Central Library. I also love that they support the local running community by organizing the bi-annual West Van Run 🙌🏽 The atmosphere varies during the day: sometimes it’s super quiet with people working/reading, and sometimes it’s buzzing with meetings and friend catch-ups, or kids and parents hanging out (there’s a daycare above). Stopped by for a cup of coffee and noticed Spanish coffee on the menu — a pleasant surprise! The coffee was tasty, smooth, and nicely balanced, with beautiful latte art that made it feel extra special. The staff members who helped us were friendly and welcoming, adding to the café’s cozy and relaxed vibe. The place was peaceful, clean, and spacious, with plenty of indoor seating and three comfortable outdoor seats that would be perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee on a nice day.
