UPDATE: well, no longer contrary to the poor reviews, I must change my 5 star review to a 1 star review. We visited this restaurant two years ago and decided to come back on a recent trip to Aix, and I was so disappointed. We asked for a seat outside, which there was a place available, and the server refused. He then put us inside, but would not serve us. We tried to get his attention, and he continued to ignore us. We waited a solid 20 minutes and continually tried to get help. After waiting, we decided to leave. I hadn't even gotten out of the table before he started rearranging the chairs,

Similarly to others commenting here I don't understand the negative reviews. The staff were very welcoming and the service quick. Had the French breakfast, very good value for money, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh and tasty croissant and baguette, the espresso good.

The service was good but the food was undercooked and extremely average. We had two plates and the meat in each was almost raw. Many better places nearby for the same or better price.
