A lovely restaurant, real food well cooked. Everything about our experience was authentic. Away from the “Tourist Traps”, yet very central. Probably our best meal having stayed in several towns in the Loire Valley. Very comfortable restaurant and the staff were lovely. Unlike most restaurants there was a good selection of wines by the glass and the quality was excellent. Restaurants like this are few and far between.

The food was good, the service was also good, until the head waitress took our wine order. We had a question and said, "Parlez-vous anglais?" The lady answered "non" turned around, and left. Wow, what a statement!!! I do not expect everyone in France to speak English, but I do expect a bit more decency and courtesy than just "non" in a decent restaurant. I have never been treated so dismissively and rudely in any restaurant in the world.

Cute small authentic restaurant near château in Angers. We called at 6:45pm and made 7:30pm reservation. The person on the phone spoke a small amount of english but was very helpful. The food was spectacular. We had pate and escargot for apps then lamb, steak and chicken main courses and they were all delicious. The service was great. Our server made wine recommendations and answered all of our questions. Her slight english and our slight french worked fine with our communications. Highly recommend it.

Little bit of a splurge lunch. Euros 39 3-course menu. I chose pate, tournedos Rossini, and a strawberry tart, with a glass of St. Emilion. I could very easily have controlled the cost by making more modest choices. Upscale and peaceful interior with a terrace facing the cathedral. Entirely satisfactory meal. Recommended. I would eat here again.
