We visited Labrasse expecting a pleasant bistro experience, and while some aspects of the evening were enjoyable, the way our complaint was handled completely ruined it for us. The biggest issue was the beef tartare, which was clearly not right when it arrived at the table. We politely sent it back to the kitchen because it simply did not seem safe or acceptable to eat. Instead of showing concern, apologizing, or even trying to understand the problem, the staff immediately became defensive. Fabulous food!!!! Lovely experience, right across from the Hotel de Ville. Stop here. Even on a hot day, they have found a way to keep the patio cool.We had a omelette and pizza. Incredible🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amongst the many spots along the main walkway the maitre'd of this one was very friendly and enticed us in for a lunch time snack of pizza and fries. It was pretty good, I think a lot of people come to these very touristy places expecting the finest French dining and then being disappointed when it doesn't live up. But for a quick bite, this place was fine and in a very picturesque spot in a tree filled plaza which is doing them a tonne of favours for atmosphere. Made the mistake of being tempted by the chalk board. We were served quickly but my duck platter looked and tasted like leftovers, cut up and reheated in the microwave. My wife salmon pasta was barely edible and a few minutes after we were served the crew started packing up and completely ignored us. No pepper, no salt, no 'how is it?' No 'do you need anything?' just nothing. Even trying to get the bill was a chore. Terrible experience.
