It's hard not to be disappointed. James restaurant boasts a beautiful setting: tasteful decor, a clean dining room, impeccable service, and pleasant service. Everything is in place for a pleasant experience… until the food arrives. The presentation is particularly elaborate, but unfortunately, it fails to mask the very disappointing taste. The gravlax salmon was bland. The deviled eggs, though attractively presented, tasted like they were made from a reconstituted mixture, while the salad dressing completely overpowered the flavor.
