Dinner at Afghan Kitchen was an absolute delight and a wonderful discovery. From the first sip to the final cup of tea, everything felt authentic, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. We began with a refreshing lassi, perfectly balanced — creamy, light, and not overly sweet. A great way to start the meal. The starters were excellent: the chicken tikka was tender, smoky, and well-marinated, while the seekh kebab was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Food is great, service on the other hand is not existent. During our meal was a complete lack of attention by the waiter who didn't even once come to our table to refill the water, asking if we wanted anything else or how the food was. I also ordered a coffee that never arrived. (Note on the photo: taken at the very start of the meal just after we got served, and before starting to eat and drink. Party of 4. Photo was my dish.)

I tried the famous Kabuli Pulao and it turned out be a delicious dish. The flavour of beef, carrots and dry fruits was kinda unique to me and I loved it. If I’m ever coming back to Lyon then I know where to dine in. Highly recommend.
