One of the most original and satisfying casual food spots I found in Paris. I took the beef bourguignon croque monsieur for takeaway, and it was excellently executed. The richness of tender beef was perfectly combined with the melted cheese and crunchy toasted bread. Other flavours looked very creative as well, especially la saumon and la truffe. The portion size is another major strength. Even half of a croque here is huge and can easily be shared by two people, so the value for money is very strong. The owner deserves special mention: friendly, welcoming and very passionate.

Amazing family-owned place with a warm atmosphere and fantastic food. The croque sandwiches were some of the best we tried in Paris — both the classic ones and the chef’s creative versions were absolutely delicious. When I was a kid forced to travel to Paris against my will, the only thing I would eat was croque monsieur (maybe croque madame if I was adventurous). Not sure why its impossible to get a good croque monsieur outside france, but ive tried...and failed. As a grownup, I was delighted to see someone take the concept and run with it. Why get a croque monsieur at a brasserie when you can go to a specialist? My wife and I shared a Faste, a Veggie, and a Pastrami - very clever to serve halves. Our favorite was the Pastrami. Highly recommend! We loved the huge variety of Croques you can get here. Our favourite was the original Le Faste. We ordered 3 different ones and he split it evenly between the two of us. How kind and thoughtful! You can feel how dedicated and passionate the chef/owner is. It’s a one-man show and it’s clear that he’s put his heart and soul into his business. Very tourist friendly as there is an English menu and he speaks English too. Very yummy lemon mint water that’s given to you for free. Super cosy and comfortable to sit inside. In the toilet, he’s even provided hand towels, pads and tampon
