Not sure why but in France they seem to stick to 140-150gr patties (at least in St Etienne). If this would’ve been a 180-200gr medium (rare) patty, it would’ve been the best burger ever. It tastes good, the meat quality was good, combination of the ingredients was good. Overall quite a good burger… but like I said, unfortunately not medium (rare), and too small. 4/5 overall. For the price maybe even a 4.5/5 , since it was very affordable! Service was quick, cheerful and polite.

This is quite possibly the best burger I’ve had in France, and certainly in Saint-Étienne. As an American I crave a good burger every now and then and I finally found the perfect one. It’s La Cabane. The bun is soft and toasted. The meat tastes of high quality, seasoned perfectly, and tender. Toppings were great (they offer fourme de Montbrison ;) and the fries are good. Oh, and they serve your burger with a bottle of ketchup and mayonnaise. That is a big deal. Absolutely delicious!
