was in düsseldorf for the weekend, and was hoping to find somewhere to watch liverpool vs newcastle last night. i wandered into mclaughlin's and was looking around at the tvs, when the gent behind the bar asked if we wanted to watch the liverpool game, and that they were playing on the big screen at the back, with sound (in english!). the staff were real friendly, the atmosphere was wonderful, and crowd inside were an absolute riot. a great selection of beer as well. thanks so, so much, will definitely back!

We had a really disappointing experience at this bar. Right from the start, we were greeted very rudely by a male staff member with blonde/brown curly hair. His attitude was unwelcoming and unnecessarily harsh. Our group ordered two drinks, and he reacted with clear annoyance, telling us it “looks bad” to come in with seven people and only order two drinks. There were plenty of free tables, so it’s not like we were taking space away from other customers. The comment felt completely uncalled for. Very nice footballbar with a very friendly & effective head bartender. The place is huge, and offers a lot of different football matches from Sky Sport. They don't have any food, but you can bring your own without paying any extra fee, ass long as you support them by buying beer/drinks.

Had a lovely evening here on St Patrick's Day...live music, excellent Guinness, good natured crowd and friendly bar staff. Two super large screens in the back rooms for sport events complete the package. Will definitely be back for the Euros.
