Soon after the holidays and on Monday lunch the places opened are not souch, so we choose erste liebe mainly because of this reason and the variety of offer. Actually I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the atmosphere. The place gives you a warm stop between the traffic of the crowded city for whatever reason you want to stop, a drink, a coffe, a lunch. We had lunch there with my family and the food was good, typical German but with season and local variations that made the menu more interesting. Service was fast and friendly.

As a Canadian, I know a good burger. So let me tell you, this is one of the BEST restaurants I’ve ever dined at. I had the “Sharfe Liebe Burger” (spicy, with jalapeños) and to say that it is to die for is an understatement. Literally melts in your mouth. Our server (shout out Benjamin!) was super informative and attentive, and wow was the service ever fast! Started with a seasonal special of Kürbiscremesuppe (pumpkin cream soup) and it was delicious, served with fluffy bread that’s perfect for dipping. The burger came with Pommes und Salat (french fries and side salad) that were also perfect,
