Relaxed steakhouse. Excellent steaks. Mushrooms delicious. The waitress wasn't very specific about wine when asking about a wine list but another waiter named the grape when I asked for a dry wine. A favourite of mine. Steaks cooked to the right degree. Decor nice. Toilets clean and modern (downstairs). Highly recommended

Saturday night, no reservation. Served straight away at a good table. Complimentary bread and dips. Excellent steaks, actually cooked the way we requested. Cosy decor for autumn. Attentive staff and very helpful despite our lack of German language. Complimentary digestifs. Highly recommended

As someone from the UK (and as someone who travels for work a lot around europe) I can confirm this is excellent value for money. I have stayed in Gelsen for 3 weeks and myself and my colleagues have had some wonderful meals of excellent quality. The steaks are delicious, the wine is wonderful and the man who waits the tables is an absolute gentleman. I look forward to working here again just so I cam visit. I want to offer my thanks to this restaurant for the warm welcome and hospitality they have shown us. If you are a local you should definetly visit. 5 stars all around.
