Today I had breakfast at Guard, had 2 ciabattas with chorizo and cheese, a donut with pistachio filling and a double espresso. Everything was awesome and the boss Tom was really friendly, he talked with me for a while outside and everyone on the neighborhood said hello to him, he is pretty famous haha. I'll be coming every Sunday!

This is one of the few coffee places in Berlin that I will always, always recommend without limitations. The owner works at the café himself and even the first time I was here, I immediately felt like coming home to a friend. The other staff are very friendly too. The coffee is well-balanced: many places in Berlin overextract and/or burn their shots, resulting in this kind of "cigarette" aftertaste, but Guard Coffee balance their shots perfectly.
