After a beautiful afternoon in Hameln we came in Wirtshaus. I had already my phone in my hand to show my vaccination pass. The lady came to us and asked in German shouting at me “your vaccination pass”. It took a while to find the right app but she stand in front of me hoping I couldn t find it and she made me nervous with her attitude. Finally we got a table. She came first with a notebook and yelled to me name address, without any “bitte” or please in German. We were so flabbergasted that we left the restaurant without any diner. Last night in Hamelin on the way to Berlin and needed to get a Schnitzel before we left. My husband found this couple run restaurant not far from our apartment. We have had our share of schnitzels over the year but never one so fresh and delicious. Breading was light and crispy. Meat was tender and juicy. Amazing... Ruined all other schnitzels for me.. if they can taste like this then they should. Can't leave a review with saying how good their asparagus soup was aswell. Creamy but not heavy, salty and sweet and perfectly cooked asparagus. Thank you Das Wirsthaus for such a fantastic meal.
