I had a very disappointing experience. I clearly asked for a large beer (0.5L) and made sure to explain it properly. Despite that, I was served something different and then charged €10 instead of €5. When I pointed out the mistake, the staff refused to correct it or refund the difference! I paid €10 by card, and he refused both to cancel the transaction and to give me €5 back in cash. WATERLOO BEERGARDEN is named after the "Battle of Waterloo" (1815), where the "King's German Legion", German troops of the later Kingdom of Hanover under British command, saved the British Army from defeat during a critical situation of the battle at La Haye Sainte. This explains Napoleon Bonaparte on the logo and the funny name of the toilets ("Befreiuungshalle", hall of liberation). This being said, it's a splendid venue to face hot summers under old trees!
