The food here was great, especially for the area. The chicken karage was nicely marinated and had a good crunch to it. The sushi roll had good quality rice, and the fish didn't smell like other places that do this type of dish. The okanomayaki was also quite good, just a little too much sauce for our taste. Finding the place is a little tricky, but you just need to go through the lobby of the Alcatraz hotel and follow the signs. Overall, it's a good place to get some Japanese food in the area.

Awesome hidden gem in the Alcatraz hotel. I think the host is a one-man show, acting also as the chef & server, but he was so welcoming & fast. We went there for the Okonomiyaki, and it did not disappoint… we’ll go back again and again. My son said the eel appetizer was the best he’d ever had.

Authentic and fine Japanese food😋 The food is made with a lot of love and care🤍 Even the spring onions in the miso are thinly cut to almost transparent! I love his Karaage (fried chicken), its very juicy and nicely seasoned with taste of ginger😋 🍣 Sushis are really top!! Very fresh, best scallops, hamachi, Ikura…Served with real wasabi. Super super attentive to details. I am amused!! 🤩

Signs leading to the restaurant start from the hotels lobby. I thought I was lost trying to find the restaurant. It's in a bit of an obscure location, and it's really quaint. I went for lunch, and the menu was limited. You could get some drinks and 3 different kinds of ramen. I tried to get the okonomiyaki, but I was told it wasn't offered as an option during lunchtime. The food was good, and I wish I'd come for dinner instead so I can get a variety of options.
