Mussles, excellent.. And so many. A very filling experience. I then made a mistake and had dessert, wow, it was a huge sundae with cherries and kirsch I barely managed to eat it all and I was a bit tipsy. The desserts are definitely shareable.

A nice and very popular Lahr restaurant. Many regional and/or "German" items on the menu but this place also has a Croatian influence (its owner being from there a generation ago). There's an outdoor terrace that's very inviting if the weather is good (it wasn't). Service is typically German "very good" and the prices reasonable, although no special bargain. I have to warn readers away from ordering the Cevapcici. I did and found them to be not very good at all, which was both a surprise and disappointment. Food was ok to good. I might not had the best dish on their menu with the “Grillteller”. Large portion, salad was good. Friendly service. Atmosphere and restaurant seem outdated and straight from the pre 2000’s.
