In 40 degrees Fahrenheit, a curry dish is a delight. In 40 degrees Centigrade like today in Leipzig, Mango Curry with Duck is necessary for survival. This dish has a lot of duck meat, a large amount of vegetables underneath, and a little mound of rice. Together with a bowl of hot curry soup, this survival kit was delicious and perfect for health. This is my second time eating the same combination, as the heat wave continues to hit us.

I popped in for a quick lunch. The service was quick and efficient, the food was fresh, but not extraordinary. I was hoping to experience that unique Vietnamese distinctive burst of flavours and got a bit disappointed… the chicken mango salad was good, but the fried onion overpowered the delicate passion fruit dressing, in my humble opinion. The drink in the left is called Ginger Pot, which is the hot mixed tea with lemon, ginger, and some fruit juice. It tastes great if you like the flavor of ginger. And the noodles is the Vietnam rice noodles with beef in the bottom of this picture. Although the amount of the noodles was less than what I expected, the flavor is great. To be honest, it tastes like Huainan Beef Soup in China. These cost me about 20 EUR.

My recent visit to Restaurant Hà Nội was truly delightful. This is a quiet, spacious, and cozy spot—perfect for a peaceful meal, as it wasn't overly crowded. We ordered the Pho soup and the Mango Salad, and both dishes were incredibly delicious. The cuisine here is genuinely fantastic, offering very generous portions that are also quite filling. A wonderful surprise was the complimentary aperitif and ice cream we received! It was a very kind gesture that elevated the experience.
