A wonderful experience at Zum Kaffee Baum The location is absolutely beautiful and full of history. Sitting outside by the fountain in one of Leipzig’s most historic cafés made the whole visit feel special. We tried the Honigtorte (honey cake), which was delicious: light, creamy, and perfectly layered. The coffee was also excellent. What really surprised us was the food. The pizza tasted like something straight from Italy, and the appetiser with focaccia, olives, and dips was fantastic. Great atmosphere, quality food, and a premium location. Definitely worth visiting when in Leipzig.

Your visit to Leipzig is not complete without visiting this Cafe/Museum. I have visited it in 2013 before the renovations and again in 2025. The Atmosphere was perfect in both, the upper Museum was the big achievement in the rennovation. The greatest thing is to eat and drink in a place where Bach, Schumann, Wagner, Goethe, and many other great people were there. Service is good, food is delicious. The only drawback is the modern music they put, it should have been some classical music to match the atmosphere or just let the people enjoy the silence

Very disappointing. Firstly, no one welcomed us at all, then somehow the waitress gave us a table, after then we waited like 30 min, and when we were rising a hand to ask to make an order, the waiter started to weirdly answer, and then went to us in a super bad mood saying that hey hey we are too busy, don’t you see, we have too mich to do. I am sorry, if you are too busy then maybe don’t sit new people or something? He was super rude, I have million problems in my life and definitely not going to the cafe to be talked with like I am a school girl. Also the whole hall where we sat were waiti
