Situated inside the old Rathaus in Plauen and decorated correspondingly, this nice restaurant with tasty dishes, like the beer goulash on the picture, is good for some business talks, as it is not much frequented and the music is very, very low.

We’ve arrived at 19:57 with my pregnant daughter and 2.5 years old grandson. The waitress has come outside 3 times, made eye contact, but did not approach the table. At 20:14 a waiter arrived and informed us of the kitchen closing and as such food service is no longer provided. Thank you for the nice gesture, next time we’ll make sure to avoid this place at all costs.

Situated in the middle of Plauen at the Altmarkt this rustic restaurant serves local and traditional german food. Very cozy location with medieval flair inside an a beautiful beer garden outside. Concerning the food I´m really torn between. I´ve been there several times - the dishes there can be really great. Occasionally they are more average. A few days ago I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel and got one that definitely should never have left the kitchen - black on one side an very, very dry.
