We had decent experiences here during our lunch visits in February 2024 and September 2025. A good spot for satisfying German dishes if you're at Trier. Pros: > Food is okay > Has a wide selection of German food and drinks > Has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating > Staff are friendly and can speak/understand English > Located in the city center Cons: > While the food is okay, it was nothing special > A few food items we wanted were unavailable > Seating can be more comfy, maybe with cushions

A pretty good experience altogether. This is a huge space with tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. I can imagine on certain days that this place is full, loud, and chaotic. But today for lunch it was mild and probably just 1/4 full. They had some beers on draught as well as some bottles. A full bar. And an extensive menu with English on it as well. Service was pleasant and the place was clean and well run. Maybe not a “must return” place, but generally no real complaints.

Everything was great, and we were very lucky to find a free table for 7 people without reservation on a Saturday evening. The staff was very friendly, the food was super and prices were reasonable.
