We had dinner at Kutscherhaus and it’s a great spot for typical food from Thüringen. One of us had Roulade with Klößen and red cabbage – tender meat, rich gravy, proper homemade dumplings. The other went for Schweineschnitzel with asparagus, and it was spot on: crispy outside, juicy inside, and the asparagus was fresh and well seasoned. The portions are generous and the food tastes home-cooked. Yummy food overall, and I can recommend this place if you want to try local dishes in Gera.

This is a decent place to go for lunch. I had the chicken salad and flammkuchen, both were good. The waiters were nice but it really took them awhile just to get me a menu, and also a really long time to get my bill. Other than that, nothing spectacular but worth a visit.

Overall, a good restaurant, well located, cozy, good service and staff, the food was delicious. We ordered roulades with dumplings and red cabbage, and the fresh asparagus with hollandaise sauce and schnitzel, which arrived very quickly, all in about 10 minutes. Absolutely delicious!!! Definitely recommended! We'll gladly come again. P.S. Cocktail recommendation: Kutscherfeuer – fruity and delicious!!
