Stayed here 2 times for personal affairs in Marburg. The rooms are clean and cozy furnished, but can be a bit noisy sometimes. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, making your stay truly pleasant. The breakfast is not too elaborate, yet tasty and complete, and the staff kindly keeps offering coffee/tea refills if desired. Their Italian dishes are good as well. I would absolutely recommend a (short) stay here for people visiting marburg either for leisure or professional purposes. I stayed in the hotel and had dinner. The best food I have had in Marburg, and that is saying a lot! Wonderful flavors and choices. The wine, service and dessert are all fantastic. I could eat here every day. Dinner is the perfect size to also enjoy their lovely truly Italian desserts with a doppio to finish off the evening. The staff is also phenomenal, in German, in Italian, in English! The room was lovely. Perfect, clean, and a nice bath. Not over the top, just like at mom’s!

Don’t book your night in this “HOTEL” if you need to sleep (!). The owners often rent the restaurant downstairs for loud marriages/birthdays that last up until 4 in the morning. And when you go 3 in the morning complain that you cannot sleep because it’s too loud and you have to work in the morning, you have to hear that if you are not satisfied with the noise you should leave! I repeat, 3 in the morning! That’s what they do with paying customers. The restaurant took one hour to bring our entrance, which was really only one tomato chopped in 4 and 4 small slices of mozzarella. Never had a wors
