My overall experience here was fairly average and didn’t quite justify the pricing. To begin with, parking was a hassle — there was no dedicated facility, and we had to rely on paid parking within the restaurant complex, which was inconvenient. Coming to the food, it was just about okay, with nothing particularly memorable. The butter chicken, in particular, was disappointing as it leaned excessively sweet, which took away from its authenticity. The Aslam butter chicken also didn’t live up to expectations and was nowhere close to the original Aslam-style flavour. The hot and sour soup was underwhelming and lacked the punch you’d typically expect. The mocktail menu is quite limited, and the options available weren’t impressive either. Portion sizes felt small for the price point, making the overall value for money quite low. On the positive side, the ambiance is decent and the service is satisfactory. I visited this place after hearing several positive reviews, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. We had made a reservation over the phone, but upon arrival, we were informed that no such reservation existed in their system. After showing them the details and convincing them, we were seated immediately. The first issue was the ambience and comfort. The AC was either not functioning properly or was switched off after some time, making the dining area uncomfortably hot. As for the food, the menu was largely starter-focused, which is perfectly fine. The vegetarian options appeared more innovative and plentiful. We ordered the PFC and a kebab dish served with garlic naan. The PFC portion size was underwhelming and did not justify the price. While it was crispy, it lacked flavour. Good vibes, great pours, the Picante is a standout. Asked them to make it a little spicier the second time & loved it even more. The Chorzi on mash is rich, flavorful, and perfectly textured, a strong combo. We also ordered the thecha mac n cheese with added mutton kheema, which was good too. Permit & Co is a lively and happening resto-bar, perfect for a fun night out! Absolutely loved their range of classic cocktails; we tried 6 out of 9 and each was spot-on. Highly recommend Baatliwala, Sab Ka Picante, Aam- Chi Permit, Oh My Darling, Smuggle My Negroni, and PVR. If you’re an espresso martini fan, you simply can’t miss theirs! The food is equally delicious, do try the Kuber Khulcha, Spicy Techa Pav, Paneer Cheese Kebab, Chinese Bhel, and Jhol Momo. The staff is courteous, attentive, and ensures prompt service. Keep an eye out for great offers on apps like Zomato or Dineout and some credit card offers. It’s the ideal spot to chill with friends or enjoy dinner and drinks with colleagues. Visited Permit and Co. by Gymkhana 91, with my family on a buzzing Friday night, and it instantly transported me back to the charm of 90s Mumbai bars. The retro-inspired interiors, dim lighting, and soulful music create a nostalgic vibe that feels both familiar and fresh, like a modern homage to Bombay’s bar culture. We totally loved this concept, something which bought our memories back. I must say the place was lively, packed with energy, and had a great playlist that kept the mood upbeat all evening. Service was smooth despite the crowd, and the staff was warm and attentive., Specially Amar, he was a great server and ensured we had a great time, loved his recommendation on food. Permit & Co by Gymkhana 91 is a fantastic place to chill, hangout, party and dine. The food here is delicious with some unique combinations and flavours. The complimentary Chakna is super fun to eat with their cocktails. We loved the imli chokha and chilli guava and raw mango. Must try- Kuber chilli cheese kulcha. Spicy, gooey, cheesy goodness. Jhol momos.. spicy.. yet delicious. Phodni Burrata… creamy, tangy, sweet.. yum Laping cheung fung .. Naga chilli dal khichdi .. super spicy, little sweet, garlicky.. yum quite unique. Loved the food here! The cocktails and mocktails were good! Overall a good place to try.
