Must try the pinsa. It's an ancient Roman style, long fermented flatbread, "like pizza but bumpier" -as described by our friendly waiter, Emmanuel. We were looking for a savoury afternoon snack and we thought about trying this coffee shop. Due to the language barrier, we were about to leave when Emanuel stepped in and explained the options. His recommendation was just wonderful, we fell in love with pinsa.

Some of the online recommendations for cafés to visit in Puglia included Vecchio Caffè. During our holiday we visited many cafés, and this one stands out. The interior and atmosphere has been curated with care, a lot of coffee props on the wall that are for use with clients. We had a chance to discuss with the knowledgeable staff, and ended up buying a pack of beans for the coffee that was brewed for us. A light roasted espresso was fantastic.
