We originally wanted to dine at the restaurant across the street, but unfortunately we were unable to get a reservation, so we decided to try this restaurant instead. We ordered a combination of the four-course tasting menu (€50 per person) and were extremely disappointed with both the food quality and the overall experience. This place had great reviews so.we gave it ago. The food was great but the service seeds a little disorganised at the beginning. One person taking orders for all tables and other younger staff brings drinks. All that aside the food was really nice and we had theor t bone steak which was beautiful. Worth while trying when in Lecce.

Lovely waitstaff and nice seating area. Our starters were tasty, especially the zucchini crepe. However we were disappointed in ours mains - the gnocchi and fried squid/prawns were not as tasty as some of the other meals we have had in Puglia.

Great dinner last night at La Scarpetta. Away from the main piazzas but so glad we gave it a try, after a suggestion from our host. The service was excellent and most importantly, the food was superb. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Lecce.
