Mamma Rosa lived up to its reputation as a great restaurant in Salerno. The people were friendly, food was very good. We had seafood risotto and mixed grilled fish (sea bass, shrimp, squid, & swordfish). It all was delicious. As was the fried baby squid appetizer and the house white wine from Paestum. I even got to thank Mamma Rosa herself. Highly recommended if you like seafood.

Amazing food, amazing experience. My friends and I all ordered the Paccheri alla Genovese di polpo più granella di pistacchio, and we were all blown away. We’ve been traveling across Italy as our little grad trip, and we think about Mamma Rosa’s genuinely every day. The staff was so very friendly and accommodating to those who don’t speak Italian. I do recommend that you get a reservation beforehand, there were some people in line without reservations and while they did get seated, I could see it was with hesitation and only because they were of the first in line.
