If you are looking for a place to grab a drink on the go or settle in for laughs with friends, this osteria is the perfect spot. It has a fantastic, lively atmosphere right in the heart of Udine. Even though English isn't widely spoken here, the service was impeccable. The staff are incredibly welcoming, always smiling, and ready to help regardless of the language barrier. We had 1.2L of the house Friulano white wine and 11 different "tartine" (bread pieces topped with salami, mortadella, cheese, etc.). This is the first place we stopped in on our visit to Udine as it was across from where we were staying. It quickly became a regular stop for us at the end of a day to relax and listen to sound of the water running under the outdoor seating.

Very nice personal and friendly service. The atmosphere of the space is amazing both indoor and outdoor. The food is very basic and the menu is simple. I would have loved if there were some salad options and whole grain bread sandwiches as well. The mortadella is their signature.

I love this place because you can enjoy a glass of wine with a view of the flowing water. However, my last visit was disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes just to place our order, and another 20 minutes later we were told that the salad was unavailable. We agreed to replace it with a cold cuts platter, which arrived only after another 20 minutes—by then, we were already considering leaving. Local guests seemed to be served much faster. The atmosphere is wonderful, but the service was unfortunately a disaster that day. I would probably avoid visiting on Saturdays. Also, the place is closed
