“ A not-so-hidden gem - @Cafesseriekenya Mombasa…” 🌙✨ I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Mombasa, but here we have a lot of restaurants. A LOT of restaurants. Dhow ones, Istanbul ones, grill ones, chicken ones, seafood ones, fish ones, and then you have Cafesserie Mombasa who is ranked #7 shy away from Tripadvisor top 5 best restaurants in Mombasa. Cafesserie offers much more than coffee and pastries. It has a full gourmet menu. This menu mixes French and Italian food with other international dishes. We ordered the speciality Margherita pizza with a pleasing crust, fresh pineapple and mint juices, the hummus dip with in-house bread, and their in-house South African Sauvignon Blanc wine. Any establishment that makes its own homemade sauces is always a win for us. We took the pizza home and ordered a fresh baquet bread to go. Many pasta orders were on the tables beside us. Careful as a foreigner they will claim you didn’t pay the right amount and ask to add more money and then tell they will send you the cctv footage(spoiler alert, they never will) while having already charged you again. If I could put zero I would. I will never be back here!
