Tried the new branch of sushi star in saida (Nb: i have been to almost or 6 other branches across lebanon) It was a bad experience unfortunately. The place is nice, however sushi wasn’t as expected (taste, quality & presentation). Some pieces are very large, and some weren’t well presented We informed the management about it and they were nice (served the dessert and gave us another 4pcs of crunchy salmon as we had comments on the crunchy specifically) but couldn’t raise all the issues Also service wise: some stuff are professional however we had to keep asking to give us plate, provide tissues and some other comments

The pieces had very little rice, which I prefer, and the salmon was fresh – smelled good, firm, yet buttery. One small downside: the nori sheets were very chewy (not the best quality), and the crunchy rolls weren’t actually crunchy. They could definitely improve that part. Overall, we had a great experience. Very good sushi for the price, and the staff were friendly and professional.
