Visited in Apr 2025 Made a lengthy stop at Rakh before my dinner reservation at Jwala (both are part of the same establishment). Ended up trying quite a few cocktails in their current menu including their signature drinks (No. 4 and No. 10). For the South Asian palate, No. 10 is a definite hit. For Negroni lovers, I’d recommend trying No. 3. Also liked the No. 22 which was a good whiskey drink with saffron flavour & aroma. Rakh is a very progressive cocktail bar and it’s no surprise they are in the top 20 list by Tatler. If you take a bar counter seat, you’ll be able to see the different distillation and fermentation apparatus they use for their drinks. If you’re in the vicinity (near The Five), would definitely recommend visiting Rakh for a few drinks.

Rakh has got to be one of the most unique bars I've ever been to in terms of culinary experience. Their signature number 10 cocktail (The drink with the grey cracker) tastes just like Rasam! It was a really fun experience for my tastebuds. My sister really liked their number 21 whisky and sesame blend (Drink with the sesame ball). Unique, smooth, and definitely for those who like a more spirit-forward pour. You can see and taste the effort Rakh puts into perfecting each drink. I’ve been here a few times and it’s my favourite cocktail spot in Kuala Lumpur. There’s an abundance of different options on the drinks menu to suit whatever flavour profile you’re craving. In addition, I tried the mocktails for the first time when I came tonight and it was a delightful surprise. The food menu includes a nice variety of choices to compliment the drinks. The portions are appropriately sized too.

I really wanted to love this place after reading the reviews online and seeing it was Tatler-backed. I ordered no. 13 & the sweetness threw the drink off balance. For the price point I thought they would try to tailor it but they only offered to add soda water to dilute the sweetness. I’ll have to be fair and give it to them for the interior….

This culinary bar is a must-try, especially for those who are enthusiastic in cocktails. Rakh has an extensive menu labelling their drinks with numbers and the ingredients in each drink, plus I absolutely loved the build of their cocktails inspired by Indian flavours. Their working area is nicely lit so you can watch the bartenders work their magic from the bar seats. I'll always remember the moment my friend and I are invited to the back to assist in making the no.10 - everyone in the staff was so friendly and accommodating, it truly made the atmosphere very comfortable. Will be back again to try more of their drinks.
