Such delicious food with really friendly staff and a great overall vibe. Perfect for big and small groups or even solo diners. The Nepali food is fresh, delicious, and well priced. This is definitely a place that can be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. I tried their thakali (not shown) which had such delicious and generous portions which they would come by and offer refills. I also went another time and tried the chicken jhol momos which were really well seasoned and tender with a broth that was not too overpowering but added nice spice to the dish. I also tried one of their veg snacks: canchampa. It was delicious! Light, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, served with a spicy tangy dry mix. Overall i am really happy with my experience here and will probably come back

⸻ Not the easiest place to find, but absolutely worth it! The restaurant is on the first floor, and the stairs are tucked away in the back yard. It’s a very local spot, where you can choose to sit on chairs or comfortably on the floor. We shared several dishes, but the Mutton Sukuti Set Dhido was outstanding. The Badel (wild pig) and local chicken were good, but the mutton was on another level. And don’t skip the masala tea — perfect finish.

This was the best meal I have ever tried. It is authentic nepali food, all you can eat, and great prices and staff. It was so good I came back a second time. Everything was beyond delicious, but if you only try one thing, let it be the thali with dhido, which is a buffet, and the staff will always make sure your plate is full. The restaurant has a shoeless floor seating area and table seating. To find the entrance, you have to walk to the back of the building and up a set of stairs.

Another recommendation from my hotel and I am glad I stopped in. Basic meal but maybe my favourite so far in Kathmandu. Mutton Ko Bhutan. It's tripe and other organ meats including liver. Not normally a fan but this was great. I would have tried other stuff but this was to top me off from another restaurant I left hungry.

I had one of the worst experiences at Paru Thakali ( Thamel Kathmandu). The food was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations at all. On top of that, the staff’s attitude and response were unprofessional and unhelpful. I ordered the sizzler and chicken khana, but both were very disappointing. The sizzler’s chicken looked nothing like the picture – it was just some fried pieces thrown together. The chicken khana was completely tasteless and lacked any real flavor. On top of that, the staff’s response and attitude were not good at all. Overall, it was a very unpleasant visit, and I would highly recommend avoiding this place.
