Wanderlust ARG★★★★★We had dinner here and the whole experience was really lovely. The place feels very local — a cozy Dutch-style bar/pub with warm lighting and a charming, authentic atmosphere. Super homey and welcoming. Our waitress was wonderful. Very friendly, polite, and helpful. She explained everything clearly and even gave us a great seat. Service like that really makes a difference. Food-wise, we ordered: •Bitterballen — the classic Dutch croquettes, crispy outside and creamy inside. Delicious. •Cheese fondue — excellent, served with bread, fries, and veggies. Perfect to share. •Hemelse modder — a cho
HAH★One of the worst cafe experiences in 10 plus years in Amsterdam. We decided to sit down on the terrace after a long day walking around. Nobody came to our table after 15 minutes, the waitress came past and didn’t bother to ask. They even went around lighting all the candles apart from our table. I had to get up and go to inside to order. The Bitterballen took 30 minutes and were raw inside. I felt sick. Beer was flat and the wine below average. Nice location, but the whole place needs a reality check.
Gerald Longjohn★★★★★An amazing brown bar experience with great beer and delicious food! The staff is really friendly and the place has a cozy neighborhood vibe. We had tomato soup, a salad, and a Dutch sampler that included cheese, bitterballen, and ossenwurst. The proprietor was careful to clue us in about ossenwurst (raw beef sausage). It proved to be amazing - especially with some mustard and cheese on brown bread, washed down with draft Warsteiner beer. Highly recommend this place!
Ollie★★★★★Top brown bar (pub) hidden in the back streets. We went for a Sunday drink n bite of food! No soup which was sad then we saw soup coming out of kitchen! Toastie + Apple pie instead! Very good!
