If you’re looking for great food in Groningen, Block & Barrels is hard to beat. The rib-eye steak is one of the best I’ve had, and the jerk chicken is absolutely delicious. Excellent meat, great beers, and a relaxed atmosphere make this my favorite place to eat in the city. Highly recommended!

Utensils came alongside wet wipes (an unfortunate rarity in Europe) and two salt and pepper grinders so depleted you understand instantly both the style of the kitchen and taste of its clientele. Went to Block & Barrels for lunch. This joint has a cool vibe and staffs were all very friendly. Love their lunch menu. The fried chicken and waffles were delicious. The chicken was super juicy and the waffles were freshly made. Steak sandwich was packed with flavours. The steak was medium rare and the fries came with this yummy sauce. Lunch menu offered great selection of food at very good price. Highly recommend this place!
