Located in the old town square. Plenty of terrace seating. They offer the usual Dutch lunch menu. I have ordered a smoked salmon on brown bread with spring onions and topped by melted cheese. Surprisingly good. Nice service.

Very poor and unacceptable service. We were explicitly told we could sit at a table, only for another server to come a minute later and try to remove it while we were already seated. Even worse, he repeatedly hit our baby’s stroller—with our baby inside—while moving the table. This was extremely careless and dangerous. When we asked him to stop and explain, he showed no concern and simply said we couldn’t sit there. Lack of communication, lack of care, and completely unprofessional behavior. Not acceptable.

This almost feels like a hidden gem in Hilversum. It's honestly one of, if not the, best lunch place. The service is super fast and great, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious and there's plenty of choice, and the price is very good too. Sometimes they do evening events as well, and you can really tell the owner loves and cares for his restaurant - it makes the place very homely. I'd absolutely recommend going here if you want to have a lovely time.
