Terrible! Not recommended! Very dirty tables, cold coffee, not friendly. I showed the dirty table to the waitress and asked her politely to clean the table when I ordered our coffee, she brought the coffee but even didn't care about the dirty table. She came back again after a while and saw me waiting for her but didn't care.

I wonder if people have exchanged this with the cafe next door in some of the reviews. This is a run down old pub. A great place to go when you are drunk or want to be noisy with genuine characters behind the bar who do not wash the glasses properly. But it has some of the best location, especially to catch the last evening sun.

This place was a lucky find as we were not even supposed to be in Leiden that day! But so glad we found this place because we had probably one of the Best Bitterballens here! Also their French Fries were crispy and delicious. Other than that it's a perfect place by a water body and a historic windmill. Also a decent range of beers to choose from. Definitely a place to stop over when the weather is beautiful and enjoy the sights around. I only wish I had taken pictures but we were just having such a great time and enjoying the moment and food and drinks. We are definitely going to be back here
