I discovered HEMA during my trip to the Netherlands and instantly loved it. The prices are super reasonable for a department store, and the cafeteria-style food court is honestly a highlight. There are tons of options to choose from, including plenty of healthier choices, so it never feels boring. I especially liked the fresh juice and smoothies. This location also has a nice seating area, which makes it a good spot to take a break while shopping.

Everything in this department store—from the clothing to the stationery—has that clean, minimalist design that makes even a pack of sponges look aesthetic. The cafe on the top floor is the absolute highlight. It’s the largest HEMA restaurant in the Netherlands and incredibly affordable. HEMA A department store with a wide range of items from household goods to clothing and food. We didn’t have much time to explore, but we visited level -1 and found the products well organized. It was a good experience, and you might find something you like.

Situated next to the World Trade Centre, this Hema is easy to find when meeting friends for lunch. The upstairs eatery offers premade sandwiches, soups, pastries, smoothies and some fried foods by order. Self serve system makes it feel like you're in an Ikea Restaurant:) Food was super fresh and its easy to get lunch for under 10 Euros. Ask for your receipt (bon) to get a discount on toilet use. Toilet use costs 70 euro cents.
